The document is one of the 10 first-level Objectives of the Strategic Framework of the Spanish Urban Agenda. It is accompanied by lines of action and the provision of practical aspects to achieve its implementation.
With the Urban Agenda, “Spain joins the international work already initiated by all the Member States of the United Nations system and those that make up the European Union, in the search for solutions to the challenges posed by the unstoppable increase in urban population, the humanitarian crises, the processes of land transformation and housing construction, the attraction and development of economic and productive activities, social relations, the loss of cultural identity and the environmental repercussions of climate change. These are all problems that are addressed from the triple vision of sustainability: social, economic and environmental”.
