{"id":5603,"date":"2022-01-24T15:14:28","date_gmt":"2022-01-24T14:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/encircular.es\/iniciativa\/verdifresh\/"},"modified":"2022-01-25T15:03:09","modified_gmt":"2022-01-25T14:03:09","slug":"verdifresh","status":"publish","type":"iniciativa","link":"https:\/\/encircular.es\/en\/iniciativa\/verdifresh\/","title":{"rendered":"Verdifresh &#8211; &#8216;CleveR7&#8217; for the sustainability of containers and packaging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Verdifresh is constantly researching packaging, looking for more sustainable alternatives and ensuring the recycled origin or recyclability of the materials used, especially plastic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25c7 Objectives:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased use of recycled materials.<\/li>\n<li>Use of mono-materials and more recyclable materials.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of weights and thicknesses (even elimination).<\/li>\n<li>Always guaranteeing the freshness, quality and food safety of products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5529\" src=\"https:\/\/encircular.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/2222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"793\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/encircular.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/2222.jpg 793w, https:\/\/encircular.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/2222-300x155.jpg 300w, https:\/\/encircular.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/2222-768x397.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 793px) 100vw, 793px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All <strong>Verdifresh<\/strong> salad packaging in bowl format contains at least 70% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. In addition, the company has started to carry out tests with its suppliers with the aim of achieving 100% R-PET bowl packaging.<\/p>\n<p>In Germany and Switzerland, the group&#8217;s &#8216;Daily Bowls&#8217; and &#8216;Premium&#8217; salads are marketed in an alternative packaging to plastic, made from PFEC certified and 100% recyclable cardboard and with a lid made from PLA, a type of plastic derived from natural and renewable raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>In the latter, Verdifresh has improved the forks that accompany the bowl-format salad assortment. Specifically, they have reduced their plastic by 42%, are 100% recyclable and are certified as &#8220;reusable&#8221;. In addition, forks made from other materials, such as wood and bamboo, are also available.<\/p>\n<p>Verdifresh is also working on the development of new materials.
