Guide to the Circular Economy and SDGs in the Toy Valley Cluster

The Cluster of innovative companies of the Toy Valley (CEIV) presented the SDG and Circular Economy Guide in October 2021. Alejandro Fernández de Mera; David Monllor; Mayra Lacruz from SEN innova, a circular economy consultant; Pedro Sáez Martínez, Alexandre Terol Blanquer and Marc Castellano Delcampo from Monnou, a circular and sustainable design studio, participated in its preparation.

◇ Objective: To identify the priority SDGs in the Toy Valley, what is the state of progress of the SDGs and the Circular Economy, and what other actions could be implemented in the future.

◇ Timelines: The research and development of the guide was conducted during September 2021.

◇ Impacts achieved: Raise awareness of what the SDGs are and how to contribute to them from companies in the area, learn about existing progress on SDGs and circularity, and inspire action.

◇ Partners: Alejandro Fernández de Mera; David Monllor; Mayra Lacruz from SEN innova, a circular economy consultant; Pedro Sáez Martínez, Alexandre Terol Blanquer and Marc Castellano Delcampo from Monnou, a circular and sustainable design studio, participated in the preparation of the guide. CEIV collaborates with the companies ACTIU, ERUM and Suavinex, as well as companies such as Huhtamaki, Miniland and Closca. The graphic design of the guide was made by Abisal Design. The presentation event of the guide was held at the headquarters of ACTECO, in Ibi.

This guide includes a rigorous investigation of the current situation of the SDGs and circularity in the Toy Valley Cluster and a compilation of good practices and reference cases. It also includes recommendations for contributing to the SDGs and the Circular Economy in the area, as well as for communicating Sustainability and Circular Economy actions. The guide is open in digital format, to promote sustainability; and its design is interactive to facilitate reading. It can be found on the CEIV website.
